Earlier this year, IMBA announced a schedule of regional summits to build partnerships and increase mountain biking opportunities in distinct territories across the United States. Much like IMBA’s biennial World Summit and the annual National Bike Summit, the gatherings feature expert-led sessions and facilitated networking — puls lots of opportunites to socialize and ride great trails.

This summer’s Southeast, Midwst and Mid-Atlantic gatherings attracted hundreds of attendees. Two more events are planned for this fall in the Northern Rockies and the Pacific Northwest.

Northern Rockies Summit

9-16 to 9-17 at Curt Gowdy State Park (WY)

Online registration and detailed event information

“IMBA’s Northern Rockies Regional Summit will be a celebration of mountain biking, complete with live music, great trails and educational sessions aimed at helping attendees get what they want,” says Rocky Mountains Regional Director Ryan Schutz.

Conference sessions will end by 3 PM, allowing plenty of time to experience the Epic riding at Curt Gowdy State Park. There will be plenty of time to mingle and get to know your peers from around the region. Summit registration includes a film festival on Friday night, great music on Saturday night, breakfast, lunch, refreshments, bonfires and free festival-style camping at Camp Jack or near Hynds Lodge.

“I’m super excited to offer and event that will get land managers and members of the mountain bike community throughout our region to strategize and share information,” says Pacific Northwest Regional Director Anna Laxague. “Of course, we will  also make time to ride the amazing trails in Bend”

The summit will include workshops on Friday and Saturday mornings, field workshops on Friday afternoon, group rides for all, discounted shuttles and guided rides from Cog Wild MTB tours throughout the weekend, a party on Friday night with local beverage sponsors to keep you from getting parched.
