Sunday, at the 2011 Victory Circle Graphics Boulder Cup cyclocross race, a few of us ladies had a chance to put our best foot forward and fund-raise for the Elite Women’s prize, which is proportionally much smaller than the men’s prize money. The disparity between the men’s and women’s prize money is $7,000 dollars! By selling Bookcliff Wine for Women we were able to raise a little extra dough for the ladies. What better way to raise money and cheer on the riders than in costume on this Halloween weekend!

Sarai Snyder, founder of BikeGirlLove, contributor Michelle Zebrowitz, Lisa Fortuna and Kate Rau of the Colorado High School Cycling League also represented Girl Bike Love at the Valmont Bike Park this past Sunday.

The racing was full on from the word go.  Beginning at 8am the racing raged until 5pm.  But of course the best part of the day was enjoying the elite women’s race.  Here is just a bit of the excitement of the day…
