The first time up the climb was the hardest with Evelyn Stevens (USA) pushing the pace. Stevens went for every QOM on stage 3.

The first break of the day came with one rider from TIBCO-SVB, USA, and HI 5 Dream Team but the Australia National Team brought them back.

The second break would stick with 9 riders ahead. Almost all the teams were present except DNA and Pepper Palace. With 2 laps to go Gabrielle Pilote-Fortin of DNA Cycling p/b K4 went solo to try and bridge the 2 minute gap. She came close and earned the Young Rider Jersey for her efforts.

With 9 riders racing ahead to the finish Katrin Garfoot of the Australia National Team took the final sprint and the stage 3 win.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_text_separator title=”Stage 3 Results” title_align=”separator_align_center” color=”grey”][vc_column_text]1 Katrin Garfoot (Aus) Australia 3:41:18
