When it comes to spinning bikes, the opinions of many indoor cyclists are changing. Although bikes such as the Peloton and the NordicTrack S27i are excellent, many riders are making their own custom indoor cycling setups to suit their needs.

It’s a fantastic way to enjoy interactive indoor cycling for much less money. You do require parts to make this work, and one, in particular, is a tablet holder. Although it might seem a straightforward buy, there are a lot of excellent tablet holders and some quite awful ones.

What Do We Look For In A Tablet Holder?

Before we start, it’s important to speak about what we look for in a tablet holder. Here’s what we believe makes a good tablet holder.

  • Design: When it comes to a tablet holder, the design is very important. We want them to not only look great, but they need to be functional. Finding the balance between the two is quite challenging, especially when there are so many different types of bikes they need to work with.
  • Strength: Then we have strength, which is vital to the tablet working properly and as it should. A weak tablet holder won’t work with heavy tablets and moves around the bike, which is incredibly annoying and can ruin the experience.
  • Looks: Then we have looks, and although it’s not everything, it is nice to have a tablet holder, which is fairly minimal and looks like it’s part of the bike. Some we have used before look terrible, making the bike setup look wrong.
  • Cost: Then we have cost, and tablet holders can hugely range in price anywhere from $10 to around $40. We want to know if we are getting good value for money when we buy a tablet holder as we all are working on different budgets.

My Favorite Tablet Holders For Exercise Bikes

Now for the fun bit, let’s speak about the top tablet holder for exercise bikes. These are our favorite four.

1. JUBOR Tablet Holder

JUBOR Tablet Holder
3.5

The JUBOR is a great tablet holder, but we think it’s suited for a bike with an aero position more than a bike with standard bars.

Pros:
  • Good Size
  • Great Price
  • Fits Tablets Snug On Aerobars
  • Bolt Fitment
Cons:
  • Not Much Flexibility
  • Can’t Fit Small Tablets Or Phones Landscape
Price & Reviews
  • Cost: $14
  • Color: Black
  • Size: Medium
  • Strength: Average
  • Attachment: Banded

We are starting strong with the JUBOR Tablet holder. Not only does it come in at a very good price of only $14 you are getting a lot of value for your money here. The design is excellent, and it’s a really small size but still functional at the same time.

JUBOR Tablet Holder

It uses a band-style attachment fitting and is very easy to throw on, and it does have a lot of strength keeping it in place, but not as much as others on this list. This works best with bikes that have an aero position. If not, it can get a little close to you.

Regarding flexibility, it’s ok, but it is a tad limited. You can angle it, but it won’t be easy unless you’re on the aero bars. Another excellent feature we really liked is that it has a bolt fitment on the bottom, which means it can attach to all different stands.

Verdict: The JUBOR is a great tablet holder, but we think it’s suited for a bike with an aero position more than a bike with standard bars.

2. Lamicall Exercise Bike Tablet Holder

  • Cost: $20
  • Color: Black
  • Size: Medium
  • Strength: Excellent
  • Attachment: Clamp
Lamicall Tablet Holder
4.5

The quality of the Lamicall is what makes this tablet holder so nice. It feels great, looks great, and is incredibly secure.

Pros:
  • Good Size
  • Very strong grip
  • Good Flexibility
  • Great Quality
Cons:
  • Rope Pulls Are Not To Everyone's Taste
  • Best Suited To Aero Bars
Price & Reviews

Next, we have the Lamicall Tablet Holder, and I personally really like this because the level of quality is so high. It’s $20, so it’s not the cheapest, but the extra you spend on it will give you a much better tablet holder in the long run.

Lamicall Exercise Bike Tablet Holder

The first thing to mention is the design. It looks fantastic and has a great wide base to hold large tablets. It’s very efficient and even comes with a rope pull to help fit the tablet in, which we like but feel they are not really needed if we’re honest.

When it comes to attaching to the bike, it uses a clamp which is very strong and much better than the band fitment. Although a tad limited when it comes to flexibility, it’s much more setback than the Jubor, keeping it further away from you and making it easier to fit in a convenient place.

Verdict: The quality of the Lamicall is what makes this tablet holder so nice. It feels great, looks great, and is incredibly secure.

Woleyi Tablet Holder

  • Cost: $25
  • Color: Black
  • Size: Large
  • Strength: Very Good
  • Attachment: Clamp
Woleyi Tablet Mount
4.0

I wasn’t originally sure about the Woleyi, but after using it, I really like it and feel it’s a great solution if you are tight for space on the bars or like a better view.

Pros:
  • Completely Flexible
  • Very Strong Hold
  • Adaptable For So Many Different Bikes
  • Clamp Band Is Strong
Cons:
  • Moves A Bit Under Heavy Load
  • Not The Best Looking
Price & Reviews

The Woleyi Tablet Holder is the wildcard in this bunch and offers something else compared to the others. This tablet holder comes in at $25, and it’s worth every penny because of its incredible flexibility and quality.

Woleyi Tablet Holder

It has a clamp band and a large base to hold tablets and phones if required. I have to say, although it looks large in pictures on the website, in person, it’s much smaller. We appreciate it might not be to everyone’s taste when it comes to looks.

Unlike the other holders on this list, you have a large flexible cord. This makes it incredibly easy to set up and ideal if you use an exercise bike without an aero bar position or want the tablet higher and further away from you.

Verdict: I wasn’t originally sure about the Woleyi, but after using it, I really like it and feel it’s a great solution if you are tight for space on the bars or like a better view.

KDD Tablet Holder

  • Cost: $25
  • Color: Black
  • Size: Large
  • Strength: Excellent
  • Attachment: Clamp
KDD Tablet Holder
4.5

The KDD is personally my favorite. It’s high quality, looks great, and is incredibly secure if you use an expensive tablet.

Pros:
  • Great Support Base For Tablet
  • Clamp Fitment
  • Very Secure
  • Looks Very Classy
Cons:
  • Limited Flexibility
Price & Reviews

If you are using a large, expensive tablet that you are concerned might fall off in a sprint, then this is the tablet holder for you. With its large base and clamp band, I trust this tablet holder more than any other on this list.

KDD Tablet Holder

Coming in at only $16, it’s cheap, but just because the price is low don’t think the quality will be. It feels great and doesn’t at all come across cheaply made. It is the largest out of all the holders we have tested, but that’s not always bad, as it can fit big devices.

It sits right on the bars, and although it offers a good level of flexibility, it’s nothing compared to the Woleyi. We think it’s best suited to bikes with an aero position. Overall we really like the KDD and feel it’s a great buy.

Verdict: The KDD is personally my favorite. It’s high quality, looks great, and is incredibly secure if you use an expensive tablet.

Exercise Bike Tablet Holder Buyers Guide

5

When it comes to buying an exercise bike tablet holder, there’s a lot to take into consideration. Here are the questions you need to be asking yourself:

Is It Going To Work?

The first question you need to be asking is if it is going to work. Will it mount on the bars properly and give you a nice view? We recommend for a bike with aero positioning a shorter mount, such as the KDD, for bikes without an aero position, the Woleyi.

Is It Strong Enough?

The next question you must ask is if it’s strong enough. You don’t want to have to tighten it halfway through your sessions or, even worse, drop your tablet and smash it on the floor.

Do You Like The Way It Looks?

There’s much to be said about liking how your bike looks. If you like the way it looks, the more chance you are going to want to ride it. Avoid anything that ruins the bike‘s look and puts you off riding it.

A Final Thought

Using a tablet holder can add so much to the indoor cycling experience. They open up better views for all your favorite applications and keep everything secure and safe. We hope you enjoyed our article and found the perfect tablet holder for you.
